Band Member's Bios

Bill - Band leader, bass guitar, electric & acoustic guitar, and harmonica.  50 years experience. 2023 Spring Harp Festival 2nd place.  Guitar Workshop Plus San Diego Blues Guitar class 2016, 2017, 2018, Bass guitar class 2019 & 2022.  Former member of The Bob Spelman Experience band 2018-2020.

 

Rebecca  -  Vocals, percussion.  Soprano with 60 years singing experience.  Vocals - Bob Spelman Experience 2018-2020, Vocals and background - California Cogs 2011-2022.  Former member of Sisters In Music (Sims), an all women's group, and college choirs, and church choirs.  

 

Robert - Lead guitar, vocals.  53 years experience. Played in various bands since age 18 including Daniel, Rainbow Johnson and the Tri-tones, Spank, and Ambiance.  Studied music & piano in college.  Experienced luthier and owner of Buchanan music for over 45 years.  

 

 

Drummer. Rick de la Torre is a San Diego native.  He started in 1968 playing contemporary rock with "Orc" at an amusement park in MissionValley.  From 1979-1986 Rick made his living managing, booking and playing with RPM (San Diego's Rock Band of the year 1982), opening for the Scorpions (World Wide Live Tour) in 1986.  Then he moved on with Junction 52, The Agents, Southern Gold and The Country Aces (Country Band of the year 1992).  Rick is a founding member of Blues Kitchen, and is currently playing with the O'side Rockers.  Rick brings a wide library of influences to the stage.  Day gig - retired. 

Richie Langen - Lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar and vocals.  Richie comes from a large family of very talented musicians.  He taught vocal and instrumental music for 37 years in the Oceanside Unified School District.  Richie has been in various rock bands since the 60's and folk music before that.
